Let ask you a question, a very simple one, do you have breath in you???
Well then lift your hands up to the Lord and praise His holy name, Hallelujah to the Trinity of our God, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God and God the Holy Spirit.
I know if you have been reading all the letters so far that it will have you to do some soul searching about your life to see how you are compared to people in these 7 churches.
Remember a church is only as good as the Christians that are in that particular church.
How are they living for the Lord?
How are you living for the Lord?
Soul searching for sure.
Now we are going to move on to the next letter that was sent by Jesus Christ through the apostle John to the church in Sardis.
TO THE CHURCH IN SARDIS:
“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of Him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds, you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Revelation 3:1 NIV
Can you imagine the Lord sending a letter like this to your church saying that your church is dead? Yet unfortunately many Christian churches around the world are dead, spiritually dead.
All they are doing is going through some motions and it is for naught as their heart is not into any of it.
“Having a form of godliness, but denying its power: Have nothing to do with such people." 2 Timothy 3:5 NIV
This is a good explanation of what happens when Christians have lost their first love for the Lord and end up losing their fellowship with the Lord then they have become backslidden and miserable.
The church in Sardis was spiritually dead, with only a few of its members remaining faithful to the gospel. Outwardly it appeared spiritually alive and active and had a reputation of success. But Jesus saw the absence of the inner reality of Himself in the hearts of the people; He saw religion, not spiritual life.
Sardis means “escaping ones” or those who came out.” The seven spirits represent completeness of the Holy Spirit’s ministry.
The church in Sardis died because the people did not let the Holy Spirit control their assembly.
“Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. Revelation 3:2 NIV
Jesus does not just call the church to wake up from its death sleep. He calls the congregation to remain awake, staying alert as a sentry responsible for the safety of a sleeping army.
“Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.” Revelation 3:3 NIV
When Jesus challenges the members of the church to remember how they received and heard, it is to remind them of Holy Spirit’s importance. Every believer receives and hears the same way, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
The instructions to hold it fast is a call to return to obedience in the Word of God.
While many would interpret “come like a thief” as a reference to the Rapture, it is most probably a warning about sudden judgment that God would bring to the church at Smyrna if it did not repent.
“Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy.” Revelation 3:4 NIV
Throughout Church history, there have always been a few (a remnant) who have not “defiled their garments” and who have sought to return to the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ that the apostles and many others in the NT knew.
“The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the Book of Life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and His angels.” Revelation 3:5 NIV
To the faithful in Sardis, the Lord states that He will never erase their names from the heavenly register. Literally the text says: “I will never by any means blot out that name.” Those who are not ashamed of Christ during their earthly lives will be acknowledged by Christ before the Father and before the angels.
“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 3:6 NIV
A great theologian John Walvoord says: The letter to Sardis is a searching message to churches today that are full of activity and housed in beautiful buildings but are so often lacking in evidences of eternal life. Christ’s word today is to remember, repent, and obey, just as it was to the church in Sardis.
As we went through these verses in Revelation 3:1-6 concerning the church in Sardis there would be found many spiritually bankrupt Christian churches today around the world just like the church in Sardis.
I know may people read about these 7 churches in the Book of Revelation and say to their selves that, oh this is just churches about 2,000 years ago but it does not apply to me today.
I hope that you will meditate on these verses I have shared with you today and see how you line up with the congregation at the church in Sardis.
Next Monday we will look at another one of the seven churches of Asia in Revelation.
We want to thank all of you that have prayed and given financially to this ministry.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal if shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38
We are involved in our ministry on an international level and also will be continuing to minister at churches as we are led to go to these churches in the United States.
On Tuesday October 27, 2015 the Spirit of God gave me a dream about a very large amount of people that I was ministering to. It seemed they were from different parts of the world. As I ministered to them I told them that WORLD WIDE REVIVAL was coming and that it would touch everyone on the face of the earth.
Every time I would say something to this huge crowd of people there would come a shout of excitement from them. But as I looked over to my right there was a man who I got eye contact with and I said this to him as we looked at each other. I told that man, whoever he was, that it was even going to affect him even though he would try to resist it.
And then I woke up.
Nita and I knew then and now that it was a dream from the Spirit of God and that He had called Nita and me to be part of this END TIME WORLD WIDE REVIVAL.
Since then I have ministered on revival in meetings and conversations I have had with other churches around the world.
JESUS SAID, “SAY NOT YE, THERE ARE YET FOUR MONTHS, AND THEM COMETH HARVEST? BEHOLD, I SAY UNTO YOU, LIFT UP YOUR EYES, AND LOOK ON THE FIELDS; FOR THEY ARE WHITE ALREADY TO HARVEST.” JOHN 4:35
Mankind has a tendency to push revival back to sometime in the future.
REVIVAL, REVIVAL, REVIVAL. (NOW, NOW, NOW).
“AS GOD’S PARTNERS, WE BEG YOU NOT TO ACCEPT THIS MARVELOUS GIFT OF GOD’S KINDNESS AND THEN IGNORE IT. FOR GOD SAYS, AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME, I HEARD YOU. ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU.” 2 Corinthians 6:1-2, NEW LIVING TRANSLATION. INDEED THE “RIGHT TIME” IS NOW. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.”
We are spreading the Word of God around the world as the Holy Spirit leads us to new areas in an ever increasing amount.
For you ministers or leaders of groups you can contact us for ministering in your church at: G Mail:
If you have come to this ministry website today and have never asked Jesus Christ to come into your life and be born again, you are not here by accident, the Spirit of the Living God drew you here.
If you do not have the assurance of where you would spend eternity if you died right now please go to the top of this website and it will have a tab for “SALVATION.” In that tab will be what is required by God to be right with Him. When you pray that prayer and accept the Lord please send us a Gmail to our website at: firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know that you accepted the Lord as your Savior and Lord and were born again. We want to rejoice with you and pray for you. Thank you (Please look up these scriptures: John 3:3 and Romans 10:9-10 it talks about you being born again).
Surely you know people who are going through hell and high water with real battles in their life both Christians and those that are not born again Christians. The Word of God that is presented each week will help turn their situation around if they do the Word of God and instead of the anguish and tears will bring a smile and victory to their life, isn’t that worth you sharing this website with others?
This includes the ones that not able to go to church because of disabilities and sickness or for one reason or another can’t attend church. Can you imagine how this Word of God would bless and comfort them? Please share this website with these folks also.
If we can pray for you please contact us regarding your prayer request.
