I have been ministering on sanctification as the Lord spoke to our hearts several weeks ago about this area of our Christian life. The Lord gave us much material that He wanted us to cover and teach on “Christ Jesus, His Gifts and Revelations.”
The Lord first talked to me about sanctification and then revealed to me that He then wanted me to use as our text I Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification and redemption.”
Since the Lord talked me to first about sanctification I am ministering on it first even though in the scripture above it does not appear as the first gift and revelation that He mentions.
I was born again as a young teen age boy and as I now reflect back during that time and coming forward to now there was not near as much revelation concerning God’s Word as there is now in the Body of Christ.
Your already in I Corinthians let’s look at I Corinthians 13:12. “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”
Notice our title is “Christ Jesus, His gifts and revelations.” Revelations concerning God and His Word come from the Holy Spirit. The above verse says we look through a glass darkly. There are things that we do not understand about the Word of God but I must say in comparing the present to when I was a teenage boy our revelation that the Holy Spirit has allowed us to operate in is light years more advanced than what we knew in the Body of Christ when I was a teenage boy. Hallelujah, Amen?
My point, we can now look into many areas of the Word of God and have a much better understanding of it than we did years ago. One of the areas that we as the Body of Christ have greatly advanced in is our understanding of Bible prophecy.
On the other hand the Body of Christ will never have full knowledge of the Word of God until we are with Him.
That’s why now we don’t see everything perfectly clear we still look through a glass. Amen?
Please share this website with others that you know.
Remember the Word of God will bless every person no matter who they are. God speaks to our hearts when we receive ministry from Him and He puts others people in our hearts and tells us to call or e mail that person because they need the Word of God also.
You never know what that friend or family member of yours is going through. The trauma and fear that they are experiencing. Reading and meditating on God’s Word delivers people that are in trauma, fear or confusion. There is tremendous Power in the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12
So please follow what the Spirit of the Living God is telling you and call up or e mail other people that you know so they too can receive the powerful Word of God in their lives.
That also includes the shut ins which includes people who are disabled or now are old and not able to come to a church building but still need ministering to just like you and me. So please give our website address to these people and see that they are blessed. Thank you.
The scriptures that are highlighted in this teaching will take you to BibleGateway.com and usually are in King James translation, however once you get to that site you can pick many different translations. To return to this teaching just go to your upper left hand corner of your computer screen and click back on the teaching tab.
“You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God.” Please see James 4:4 NLT_
So what is James saying here? First of all when he addresses Christians as adulterers the Lord is speaking about a spiritual adultery meaning unfaithfulness to our Lord and pledge of commitment to Him. Then James goes on to say that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God.
Friendship with the world means embracing the world’s attitudes, values and sinful ways.
You may have acquaintances with people that are not saved but the Word of God is very direct about having friends among the Body of Christ only.
I didn’t say that the Word of God clearly states that in the verse I just quoted in James 4:4 and if you read our ministry last week on who Jesus’ friends were I referred you to John 15:15 which tells us that although Jesus ministered to even the most sinful of the world He loves them and walked among them teaching them but He did not compromise with the world’s morals or values and when He was through ministering to the world He headed back to His disciples, His friends, see John 15:15.
You see our Precious Lord and Savior knows what is best for us. He knows given us having friendship with the world what it will eventually cause us to do, say and go to places that we are not to be involved in. He knows human nature, He created you and me.
In addition as we are involved in the Christian walk we should not want to go back to the pig pin of our former lives. Do you remember, He delivered us out of that mess? Why would you want to go backwards and enter the pig pen of sin again???
Then notice in James 4:4 _NLT that was quoted above, James under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit states as we as Christians want to have friendship with the world we are an enemy of God. Brother and sisters in Christ if those aren’t strong words from our Lord I don’t know what is?
The Bible states that in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses shall every word be established. 2 Corinthians 13:1
As you know this is part 3 of our ministry on sanctification which means this is the 3rd week I have ministered on this truth as we do new teaching every Monday. So in these 3 teachings I have given scripture after scripture confirming the things I have stated to you regarding sanctification and the way the Lord has called us to live our Christians lives, Amen?
So there is nothing that I have shared with you that cannot be backed up with God’s Word over and over again.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 is another powerful witness that relates to the word sanctification. I won’t put down all of the scriptures as it would be too long but I will quote 2 Corinthians 6:14: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?”
So who is the Apostle Paul talking about in this scripture and the following scriptures of 14-18 (please read these additional scriptures for even more clarity).
The ones that the Apostle Paul is talking about when He says righteousness in the above verse is you and me, and who is the Apostle Paul talking about when He says light, once again you and me?
When you and I were born again, God’s presence by the Holy Spirit entered your human spirit, thank the Living God. You see He brought His righteousness into your spirit and He brought His precious light into your spirit. To him you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
That is a precious gift from the Lord and we are told not to treat that Precious gift lightly by compromising our Christian walk with being unequally yoked with unbelievers.
Christians need to ask this question if it pertains to them. Why am I unequally yoked or unequally joined together with the unsaved?
Because God says we are righteous with His righteousness when we are born again and we are His light when we are born again
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth IN you?” Please see in I Corinthians 3:16
“For He (God the Father) hath made Him (Jesus Christ His only begotten Son) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. “ 2 Corinthians 5:21
These spiritual principles of not having friendship with the world including not be unequally yoked or united with unbelievers also includes not going into business partnership with an unbeliever. You will run into decisions that you as a Christian would want to do as the Word of God states or to conduct your business based on God’s Word but your unsaved partner will not want to do that. It will happen sooner or later. One area could be tithing on the profits of the business but there are so many more areas that will come up.
Then of course being unequally yoked even applies to dating another person that is not a genuine born again believer without even talking about marriage. Why would you want to even date someone that is an unbeliever when God’s Word very plainly states that Christians are not be yoked or united with unbelievers?
God’s Word is absolutely clear about the decision of marriage which is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.
To not heed the Word of God is asking for many needless heartaches and sorrows that if Christians would heed the Word of God they would be saved from. That’s why it is so important to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to the mate He has for you. The operative word is ALLOW. God will never over run your will.
Will Christian marriages still have problems, of course they will. But by waiting on the Spirit of God to direct you to the mate God has for you will allow the grace of God to help you in those difficult times even in Christian marriages. There is a vast difference.
So what I am also saying is that just because you found even a genuine Christian that you think would be great for you, they may not work at all with you if the Spirit of the Lord did not lead you to them. That’s where honesty on your part needs to be apparent, did you really hear from the Holy Spirit or is it you’re wanting to regardless of what the Lord has told you.
Isn’t one of the promises that Jesus said the Holy Spirit would help you with is that He would guide you into all truth and show you things to come? John 16:13
Another powerful scripture concerning sanctification is found in Romans 12:2: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
In other words as you read the Word of God each day you learn what God would have you do and then as you decide to follow His Word by renewing your mind you will prove what God’s perfect will is for your life.
The Apostle John who was one of the inner circle of friends that Jesus had along with Peter and James. The Apostle John said it loud and clear when he said: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” 1 John 2:15
Once again I want to state that Jesus Christ is our example of how to live the Christian life. He loves the world (John 3:16) Jesus was in the world when He walked the face of the earth but not of it. Jesus taught the people and healed them and taught them the Word of God. But Jesus never compromised His life style by compromising with sin.
When Jesus was done ministering to the world He returned to the ones He called His friends and that is where He had fellowship. I believe that is easy to understand.
Nita and I always pray over the ministering of God’s Word before we present it and we continue to pray that this ministering on sanctification will bless you as you look to the scriptures that I have given to you to help you in your Christian walk. That is our sincerest desire for all of you.
Following God’s Word always turns out to be a blessing in our life even though at the first we may not like it or have doubts about it. Amen?
David said this about being sanctified meaning set apart for the Lord’s use:
“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10
We as Christians are in this world but not of it.
God’s Word repeatedly tells us that we are not to have friendship with the world and the consequences of having friendship with it.
However we as Christians are told to show God’s love to the people in the world and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ among them that hopefully they will open their hearts to receive the Lord as their Savior. We are told to heal the sick under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the name of Jesus Christ and to cast out demons in Jesus name, to fulfill the great commission. Mark 16: 15-18
These things are far different than having friendship with the world and being unequally yoked to the world.

Nita and I are truly honored and humbled that the Lord supernaturally sent these pastors and evangelists from around the world for us to help them and for them to bless us.
