I know we often hear that in the secular realm and it means basically enjoying life. But we can take that statement to a higher level and that is taking it to the spiritual realm with the Lord which blesses EVERY part of our life.
Recently I was reading the book of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes written by Solomon of course under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes later in his life after he had become the wisest man in the world and the richest and after some big mistakes that he made. He had it all including wisdom as God made him the wisest man who would ever live and wealth beyond our imaginations, people flocked to just sit at his feet to hear him talk but also brought riches beyond belief to present to him.
But Solomon in reflecting on it all said this in Ecclesiastes that all in life is “VANITY” (MEANING IT IS MEANINGLESS).
In Ecclesiastes at the next to the last verse, Solomon summed up all of his life and made this tremendous statement: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, (meaning reverence God) and keep His commandments: (in other words keep His Word in the Bible, live it) for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecclesiastes 12:13
So my point of “living the dream” is this. The world makes this statement and it is that they are just trying to enjoy life on their own.
But Solomon really nailed what “living the dream” is really about and that is to reverence God and live by the Word of God.
That from a man that had it all as he reflected back over his life is what “living the dream” is all about. Serving the Lord will fill your heart with His love, His peace and His blessings in every area of your life and it does not get any better than that.
Hallelujah to the King, Jesus Christ.
Living the dream!
Remember the Word of God will bless every person no matter who they are. God speaks to our hearts when we receive ministry from Him and He puts others people in our hearts and tells us to call or e mail that person because they need the Word of God also.
You never know what that friend or family member of yours is going through. The trauma and fear that they are experiencing. Reading and meditating on God’s Word delivers people that are in trauma, fear or confusion. There is tremendous Power in the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12
So please follow what the Spirit of the Living God is telling you and call up or e mail other people that you know so they too can receive the powerful Word of God in their lives.
That also includes the shut ins which includes people who are disabled or now are older and not able to come to a church building but still need ministering to just like you and me. So please give our website address to these people and see that they are blessed. Thank you.
